Language and intercultural pathways in the schools of Sesto Fiorentino
Centro La Pira actively participates in the Zonal Educational Projects promoted by the Municipality of Sesto Fiorentino, bringing training experiences to local schools for children and young people with a migration background.
These language and intercultural programmes are designed to:
- facilitate the school and social integration of non-Italian-speaking students;
- support teachers and families along the educational and relational journey;
- value cultural differences as a resource for the school community.
The goal is to help build more inclusive school environments, where every student can feel welcomed and recognized.
Here are our teachers Simonetta and Matilde, leading Italian language workshops for primary school children at the Istituto Comprensivo Gino Strada, as part of the “I care: together for inclusion” project carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Sesto Fiorentino in 2025.
