All our teachers are native speakers, hold university degrees, and possess the DITALS Level II certification from the University for Foreigners of Siena — a qualification that recognizes them as experts in teaching Italian as a foreign language

Lessons take place Monday to Friday, 1 hour and 30 minutes per day (excluding national holidays).

Founded in 1978, just a few steps from Florence’s Cathedral, Italian in Florence – Centro La Pira offers Italian language courses for international students, taught by expert and specialized teachers.

Our school is officially recognized by the University for Foreigners of Siena as a CILS Examination Centre (Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language) and is also a renowned teacher training center and DITALS Examination Centre.

Our goal is to provide high-quality teaching at an accessible price, promoting the Italian language and culture worldwide and supporting the integration of international students who wish to build a medium or long-term life project in Italy.

Italian in Florence is the language school of Centro Internazionale Studenti Giorgio La Pira, a place of hospitality and dialogue that offers educational and cultural programs inspired by Giorgio La Pira’s ideal of universal fraternity— the same values that guided his work as Mayor of Florence from 1951 to 1965.
